About This Place

Located in the heart of Orland Park, Gorka Deli is a treasure trove for lovers of authentic Polish and Eastern European delicacies. More than just a deli, it is a food destination that beautifully blends nostalgic flavors with fresh, homemade quality. Stepping inside, you are immediately enveloped in comforting aromas of freshly baked bread, savory meats, and traditional hot dishes that transport you straight into a warm family kitchen.

The spotlight on their menu is certainly the Tim Tam, a delightful treat that excites both locals and newcomers alike. However, the real star of the show lies in their extensive hot food counter and deli selections. Customers rave about the hearty chicken noodle soup—rich and soothing, it’s like a warm hug on a chilly day. The cooked cabbage earns consistent praise for its depth of flavor, and the pierogi offer an extraordinary range of fillings that cater perfectly to those craving a true taste of Poland.

What makes Gorka Deli truly special is how it ignites memories and comforts the soul. Andrew Peters so accurately describes this feeling by sharing how the deli brings back cherished childhood holiday moments with its traditional offerings. Likewise, Tami Carper’s experience being flooded with the nostalgic smell recalls the atmosphere of grandma’s kitchen, resonating with anyone who appreciates food that speaks to the heart and heritage.

The deli’s hot bar is more than just a meal option—it’s a revelation. Jennifer Munoz delightedly highlights the delicious perogis and potato pancakes, paired with a spotless, well-stocked environment and friendly staff, emphasizing the warm, inviting atmosphere that makes every visit a joy. Michael M., whose Polish family holds the deli in high regard, praises the affordability and authenticity of the homemade Polish meals that rival even family recipes. For those in search of something both satisfying and traditional, Gorka Deli’s diverse selection will not disappoint.

It is clear that this isn’t just a place to grab food—it’s a gathering spot where fresh, lovingly prepared dishes tell stories, celebrate culture, and create new memories. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick, hearty lunch or stocking up on specialty imported foods to bring a taste of Eastern Europe into your home, Gorka Deli offers a genuinely unique culinary experience marked by warmth, authenticity, and outstanding customer care. Highly recommended for anyone looking to savor genuine Polish flavors with a smile.

One of the best Polish delis in the area! The hot food counter offers fresh, authentic homemade Polish meals with a huge variety at affordable prices—perfect for a hearty lunch or dinner. Grab a large container of their warm chicken noodle soup or explore the fridge for more options. The pierogi are outstanding—dozens of varieties available. My Polish family loves them, and we rarely make our own anymore. I stick to classics like potato-cheese and sauerkraut-mushroom, but the beef ones are delicious too (try them with red sauce—you'll forget ravioli exists!). The kopytka are spot-on, just like my babcia used to make. The bakery and bread section can be hit-or-miss depending on timing, but don't skip the daily specials at the top of the deli counter—they're unique, tasty, and often limited, so I grab extras for the freezer when I spot a favorite. Staff are always helpful and courteous, with no language barriers. This hidden gem is a must-visit.

When i first walked in I was flooded with memories from the smells alone. Although im German, it was like being in my grandma's kitchen. Bread, meat, hot dishes, salads all amazing. The staff is polite and friendly. Lots of imported foods to choose from, reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend!!

I have been coming in for years to shop. I buy the Racine Bakery Raisin Bread, the Mushroom soup, like the hot deli fresh Polish and Kraut Pierogi. Also the Macaroni salad. It's not saturated with mayo but crunchy from celery and very small red peppers and carrot. I also buy lunch meats and cheese. Friendly staff always.
